Cure - rate estimation under Case - 1 interval censoring Running title : Cure - rate under interval censoring
We consider nonparametric estimation of cure-rate based on mixture model under Case-1 interval censoring. We show that the nonparametric maximum-likelihood estimator (NPMLE) of cure-rate is non-unique as well as inconsistent , and propose two estimators based on the NPMLE of the distribution function under this censoring model. We present a cross-validation method for choosing a 'cut-off' point...
متن کاملA Class of Semiparametric Mixture Cure Survival Models with Dependent Censoring.
Modern cancer treatments have substantially improved cure rates and have generated a great interest in and need for proper statistical tools to analyze survival data with non-negligible cure fractions. Data with cure fractions are often complicated by dependent censoring, and the analysis of this type of data typically involves untestable parametric assumptions on the dependence of the censorin...

for all j 6= l. The lengths of the vectors yj , β, and δj , respectively, are nj , r, and s. Like in all regression-type models, the explanatory variables X and Z are regarded as fixed variables, which can also be expressed by saying that the distributions of the random variables ǫ and δ are conditional on X and Z. The random variables ǫ and δ are also called the vectors of residuals at levels ...
متن کاملCure Fraction Models Using Mixture and Non-mixture Models
We introduce the Weibull distributions in presence of cure fraction, censored data and covariates. Twomodels are explored in this paper: mixture and non-mixture models. Inferences for the proposed models are obtained under the Bayesian approach, using standard MCMC (Markov Chain Monte Carlo) methods. An illustration of the proposed methodology is given considering a lifetime data set.
